These Gesho leaves (lat. Rhamnus prinoides) from the highlands of Ethiopia have been used for centuries for the traditional brewing of Ethiopian beer and honey wine.
The Ethiopian buckthorn (also called Gesho) has always been used as an ingredient in the traditional production of honey wine and beer.
